Chalice is a globally recognised name in minerals exploration, led by an experienced team of proven mine-finders.
The Gonneville Nickel-Copper-Platinum Group Element (Ni-Cu-PGE) is a pre-development project located on Chalice-owned farmland in Western Australia. The Project is centred on the Gonneville Deposit – a significant greenfield mineral discovery by Chalice’s geologists in early 2020 which hosts a rare mix of critical green metals required for decarbonisation.
Gonneville has a tier-1 scale Mineral Resource Estimate (Resource) and is defined as the largest undeveloped palladium resource and one of the largest critical minerals discoveries in the western world. Largescale PGE deposits like Gonneville have high strategic value, as current production of PGE metals is dominated by Russia and South Africa
Chalice is now advancing this world class green metals resource towards development. Released in August 2023, the Gonneville Scoping Study outlined a new long-life, low-cost, low-carbon mine with the potential to deliver strong financial returns and regional benefits. The Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) is underway investigating strong upside of high-grade, staged open-pit / underground starter cases.
The Gonneville discovery has opened up a new, largely unexplored mineral province, the West Yilgarn Nickel-Copper-PGE Province, where Chalice holds an unrivalled >9,600km2 land position. Chalice has a first-mover advantage in this exciting new nickel sulphide province and is concurrently progressing exploration activities across the region. This includes the Julimar Nickel-Copper-PGE Exploration Project, a 350km2 project surrounding the world-class Gonneville discovery, centred on the >30km long mafic-ultramafic intrusive belt (the Julimar Complex).
Chalice is led by a highly credentialed Board and management team, with a strong track record of value creation for shareholders. Chalice is well-funded, with a cash balance of c. A$112 million (as of 31 Dec 2023), with no need to raise capital in the foreseeable future.
